The Democratic Alternative Party held primaries on Saturday the 12th of May 2018 in Ekiti state to chose her governorship candidate in the Ekiti state governorship polls slated for July 2018.
A Business woman Hon. Mrs Zainab Olajumoke Saheed emerged the DA candidate in the primaries held in Ado Ekiti.
Many National leaders and some state chairmen of Democratic Alternative party attended the primaries.H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga the National Chairman of DA was in Ado Ekiti the capital of Ekiti state of the Nigerian Federation to grace the remarkable event.
In his remark the National Chairman of DA, H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga commend the state chairman of DA Ekiti state Chapter Hon. Toyin Esan and his state Exco for putting up the remarkable event. He thanked the INEC Executives from Abuja and Ekiti state for monitoring the event above all thanked all members of DA Ekiti State chapter, admonishing them to work hard to win the governorship seat of Ekiti state come July polls.
In her acceptance speech the DA guber Candidate Hon Mrs Zainab Olajumoke Saheed a graduate of the Ekiti State University who graduated as an Accountant promised to govern Ekiti state prudently and to implement the programs of DA of Free Education at all Levels, economic, Industrial and Agric Revolution, proactive healthcare program, food and electricity for all, Jobs for all , empowerment of women , youth and the vulnerable etc if voted to power.
