WORLD NEWS:2019 Presidential election: Buhari, Saraki, Frank Ukonga, Dogara, Prof. Gambari, Prof. Jega, Prof. Mahmud Yakubu & National Chairmen of Political Parties storm the signing of Peace Accord for the 2019 election.
Another Milestone was achieved at the exact date of the announcement of the beginning of activities for the 2019 general election on the 16/17 August 2018. All the National Chairmen of political parties in Nigeria held an IPAC Annual Summit at the Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja to sign a Peace accord for the 2019 presidential polls, and to unveil and present the official IPAC Code of Conducts for political parties.
The special guest of Honor was H.E. Mohammadu Buhari GCFR, the President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Federation ably represented by Senator Babafemi Ojudu the Special Adviser to the Presidency on Political Affairs.
Other distinguished guests of honor includes H.E. Dr Olusola Saraki GCON, the Senate President of the 8th Republic, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogarra-CFR- Hon Speaker of the House of Representative, Justice Walter Onnoghen GCON- Chief Justice of Nigeria, Professor Ibrahim Gambari  CFR ,Former Representative of Nigeria to the UN, Professor Atahiru Jega OFR Former INEC Chairman , Professor Mahmud Yakubu INEC Chairman,Ambassador Ignatius Longjam Chairman governing Board NIPSS,  H.E.Abdul Aziz Yari Abubakar Chairman Nigerian Governor’s Forum, Senator [Dr.] Udo Udoma CON,Hon Minister for Budget and National Planning, Ambassador Ketil Karlsen, Head of EU Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS.
Virtually all the National Chairmen of the 68 political parties were present at the occasion among whom include Alhaji Abdulsalam National Chairman of the Labour Party, H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga National Chairman of the Democratic Alternative Party DA, High Chief Peter Amen National Chairman of the PPA, Hon Lawal Nalado IPAC Chairman and National Chairman of Accord Party and all states chairmen of IPAC-Interparty Advisory Council and many others. The APC and the PDP were ably represented.
The welcome address was given by Jonathan M. Juma  mni ,Ag Director General of NIPSS.
H.E. President Buhari represented by Senator Babafemi Ojudu called on all stakeholders to follow the path of peace and decorum addressed to have credible elections in 2019.
Ambassador Ketil Karlsen, Head of Delegation of the EU to Nigeria and the ECOWAS lauded the maturity of the Nigerian stakeholders in coming to sign a peace accord ahead of the 2019 general elections and said this giant stride of a peace could not be achieved in some countries.
The peace Accord was signed by all political parties in Nigeria one after another and it was heralded as a giant stride towards peaceful 2019 general election.
Speaking with newsmen at the occasion H.E. Prince Frank Ukonga the National Chairman of DA- Democratic Alternative party called on all Nigerian eligible voters to go and collect their PVC and admonish then not to sell their votes.
